  3. Hi room 5,

My name is Mr. Pahl. I’m from Bellingham, WA, USA. It’s almost summer here and we are getting so excited. It has been a cold, wet winter, and we are really looking forward to warmer weather. It looks like the next several days are going to be sunny here. I can’t wait.

Do you want to know something funny about where you are in New Zealand and where we are in the US? It’s the time difference! You are about 17 hours ahead of us where you live. I am writing this post at 3:11 PM my time on Friday, and it is currently 10:11 AM on SATURDAY where you are! Isn’t that cool?

I just discovered your class blog, and I’m really enjoying it. I work with students after school who have a Books and Blogging Club. Here is our address http://sunnybookclub.edublogs.org/. If you would like to know what we are reading, please visit our site and leave us a comment. If you would like to recommend books or authors to us, we’d love to hear from you, too.

    Thanks!
    Mr. Pahl, Bellingham, WA, USA

  4. Hi Mr Pahl,
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment for us. I am sitting at school at 8am on Monday 22nd May writing this – you will still be enjoying your Sunday. πŸ™‚ I have added your blog site to our page so that my students can have a look and hopefully make lots of reading recommendations for your bloggers. It is great to make connections like this.
Look forward to hearing from you again.
    Sincerely
    Mrs Campbell

  5. Kia ora room 5 my name is Napua from kawakawa primary I will help you get more comments on your blog`that picture made me so selfish so I comment on your blog.

    • Thank you so much for the comment – I think they are pretty cool too. πŸ™‚ I also love blogging for this very reason – parents can easily follow what is going on and make comments on their child’s work. Much better than sending books home. πŸ™‚
