Student led conferences.

Last week, the majority of you participated in student led conferences where you explained your learning and next steps to your parents. I was very impressed with how well you conducted yourselves and how clearly you could explain your learning. This week I would like you to reflect on those conferences. I want you to write a new post that does the following:

  • explains what student led conferences are for visitors who visit our blog.
  • explain how you felt doing the student led conferences.
  • reflect on your mid term report – how did you feel about your progress?
  • give your opinion about student led conferences – are they worthwhile?

I expect your reflection to be at least two paragraphs long.

Terrarium school challenge.

We are getting organised and hoping to win the school terrarium challenge. Thank you to Patrick  (who also supplied the cars for decoration), Ryan, James, Jennifer and Courtney who helped set the terrarium up. Another big thank you to Dylan, Jake and Seannah who also bought some decorations to make our terrarium look really special. The dinosaurs were a really nice touch Dylan. 🙂

Then today I overheard Jake showing our terrarium to a couple of year 7s at lunchtime and explaining how it works. How cool.

Our first real 100 word challenge

Latest prompt

This time we have a very gooey prompt!

…the slime dripped through …

Things to think about:

  • Where are you?
  • Is there supposed to be slime?
  • Where has it come from?
  • What colour is it?
  • Does it smell?
  • What are the consequences of this happening?

You need to create a new post on your blog that includes this phrase. I will then submit them to the 100 word challenge page. PLEASE remember to re-read carefully as the world is going to see your entries.
