Well two weeks of practising finally came to an end this afternoon with the annual school house choir assembly. The theme this year was New Zealand music and the songs were chosen by the house captains.
Well done to all houses on great performances.
The results were: Rata – 1st, Kowhai – 2nd, Ngaio – 3rd and Konini – 4th.
The teachers also did a pretty good job with their item – thanks to Miss Paterson.
Last week, 4 of our Room 5 students traveled to Dunedin to participate in the Otago Polyfest. Faaki, Lousiale, Ford and Kiseki. Watch from the start of the video above to see Oamaru Intermediate’s performance – they finish at 8.03 minutes but feel free to watch the other Otago Schools.
Whaea Jamaya was so impressed with the whole group – she said they were the best she had taken to the festival. Well done guys.
Room 5 had three students who competed in the North Otago Cross Country – Sol, Alex and Thomas. They did very well competing against other students from the entire North Otago Region. The final placings were Sol, 4th in year 8 girls, Alex, 10th and Thomas 12th in Year 8 boys. Fantastic stuff.
