Japanese student visit

This week we were very lucky to have some students from Japan visiting our school. They were extremely polite and were so grateful for the experience of being in New Zealand. The students ranged in ages, from 9 to 11. They were incredibly brave to come all this way.

Before they left on Wednesday they showed Room 5 and Room 3 how to do some traditional cultural activities such as origami and calligraphy. They also shared some of their traditional games with us. Then we were treated to a song from all the students during the farewell assembly.

Wet days

Wet days at school can be a bit trying – especially when everyone is stuck inside at lunchtime. However, it was great to see some of the Room 5 students making the most of the games that were available – this was a very intense game of Jenga.
